Retired Cpl. Perry Price III, a two-time gold medalist in wheelchair volleyball from previous Warrior Games and native of Wilmington, Del., takes a shot at the basket for his team during the wheelchair basketball championship game against the Marine Corps during the Warrior Games held at the U.S. Air Force Academy May 15, 2013. The Army team beat the Marines 34-32. The Warrior Games is a weeklong annual event pitting 260 wounded, ill or injured service members from across the Department of Defense and United Kingdom against each other in athletic competition. The competitions span seven sports: archery, cycling, shooting, sitting volleyball, swimming, track and field and wheelchair basketball. Warrior Games is representative of a valuable Warrior Care and Transition Program that heals and transitions soldiers back into the Army or their communities with dignity and self-determination.
