Cpl. Ruben Diodonet, a New York City native and motor transportation operator with Combat Logistics Battalion 6, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, sweeps a road at Twentynine Palms, Calif., during a pre-deployment exercise May 13, 2013. Diodonet used the metal detector as part of a squad training exercise designed to maximize the area covered by the metal detector and provide 360-degree security for the sweep teams.
