Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handler) 3rd Class Gerrick Parks directs an SH-60 Seahawk during a launch and recovery cycle on the flight deck of the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) May 17. Handlers are the traffic directors of the flight deck, directing aircraft during launch, recovery and moving evolutions.
