First Lt. Frank Foss, with 4th Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, gives Bayonet Week a thumbs up despite his bloody knuckles after completing the workout of the day during the Ultimate Strength Competition, May 20. Foss' team from 2-2 SBCT swept the competition, placing first in all but one event, and taking home the first-place trophy. Four-man teams from Headquarters Support Company, 7th Infantry Division; 2nd and 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Teams, 2nd Infantry Division; 16th Combat Aviation Brigade; 555th Engineer Brigade and the 201st Battlefield Surveillance Brigade compete for the title of Strongest Brigade during the Bayonet Ultimate Strength Competition. The soldiers competed in five events: 250-pound bench press, tire flip, litter carry and Humvee push, Bayonet Workout of the Day, and weighted dips.
