Staff Sgt. Alec Haralovich stands with his family, friends and fellow Marines for the retiring of the colors during the Gunnery Sgt. John Basilone Award for Courage and Commitment ceremony here, May 19, 2013. Haralovich was awarded the honor for keeping the memory of Gunnery Sgt. John Basilone alive. He said his accomplishments would have not been possible if it was not for the constant support his family has provided throughout his deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan over the years.
