U.S. Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Asad Hussain (left), a maritime enforcement specialist aboard U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Oak, supplies feedback to a Dominican Republic coast guardsman during a gunnery exercise. The exercise was held Saturday in the waters off Saint Lucia using Oak's Browning M2 .50-caliber machine guns as part of Tradewinds 2013. Hussain is temporarily assigned to the Oak for the duration of Tradewinds, a joint and combined exercise conducted in conjunction with partner nations to enhance the collective abilities of defense forces and constabularies to counter transnational organized crime and to conduct humanitarian/disaster relief operations.
