U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Andrew Kroto, a services specialist with the 169th Services Flight at McEntire Joint National Guard Base, South Carolina Air National Guard, cleans tables in the dining tent before lunch begins at the Single Palletized Expeditionary Kitchen near the flight line, June 1, 2013. The SPEK is set up for flight line personnel, who can’t afford the time to travel to the base dining facility, to have quick access to a hot meal during the June Unit Training Assembly Readiness Exercise. Members of the 169th Fighter Wing are preparing for a Certified Readiness Evaluation, which evaluates a unit’s ability to process personnel and equipment from home station to a deployed location safely and efficiently, then operate and launch missions in a chemical combat environment.
