Gunnery Sgt. Jonathan Ferguson, the Corporal’s Course director aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., and a Dayton, Ohio, native, performs a push-up during a physical training session aboard MCAS Miramar, June 5. Ferguson, a 12 year veteran, began his first enlistment as a motor transportation Marine before going to the drill field as a sergeant. Following his tour as a drill instructor and a time with a logistics battalion, he came to the air station to take over the position of squadron gunnery sergeant for the Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron.
