Vice Adm. Kevin Cosgriff, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, presents a congratulatory letter at the U.S. Embassy in Astana, Kazakhstan, June 11to Cadet Abykayev, the first Kazakhstan military cadet to be selected to attend to the U.S. Naval Academy. During his regional visit, Vice Adm. Cosgriff spoke at Pakistan's war college in Lahore and visited military and security leaders in Baku, Azerbaijan; Astana, Kazakhstan; and Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. Cosgriff also met with Mr. Nurlan Abdirvov, deputy secretary, security council, and General Major Marat Mazhitov, first depty chief, main staff, border guard service. Vice Adm. Cosgriff meet with the deputy director, border guard, national security committee, General Lieutenant Hussain Berkaliyev in Astana, Kazakhstan June 11.
