A mosquito is recovered from a trap in the expeditionary medical facility at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, June 7, 2013. Certain types of mosquitoes can transmit diseases, such as malaria and dengue fever, and the camp runs a mosquito-control program to limit the risk of mosquito-borne diseases to camp and Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa personnel. After mosquitoes are collected, they're put into vials and shipped to the U.S. Army Public Health Command laboratory in Stuttgart, Germany, where researchers test the samples for viruses. EMF preventive medicine technicians, CJTF-HOA Surgeon Cell personnel and pest-management employees manage the camp's mosquito-control program. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
