Marines patrol through the jungle March 19, 2013, at Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Guam during a field training exercise as part of Exercise Guahan Shield. Marines conducted a force-on-force FTX to enhance their combat readiness March 19-21. The Marines are with Company L, 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, currently assigned to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, under the unit deployment program. They are wearing the Marine Corps combat utility uniform with its unique Marine digital pattern. Marine Corps Systems Command and the Army Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center received the 2013 Millson Award from the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists for the uniform's design and innovations.
