Sailors from the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) along with Soldiers from the Japan Western Army Infantry Regiment participate in a planning meeting aboard the Helicopter Destroyer JS Hyuga (DDH 181) during a media tour. Hyuga is one of three JMSDF ships participating in exercise Dawn Blitz June 11-28. Dawn Blitz is a multilateral amphibious exercise designed to strengthen international partnerships by improving the ability to respond to crises and protect the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners.
