Staff Sgt. Todd Domerese shares his story of traumatic brain injury and road to healing at a groundbreaking ceremony June 13 at Fort Campbell, Ky. for the third in a series of nine National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE) Satellite Centers designed to diagnose and treat traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress. Domerese explained how the TBI he received in combat dramatically changed his life and altered his behavior after returning home. The treatment Domerese received at the NICoE facility in Bethesda, Md. helped him regain psychological health. Domerese joined fellow Soldiers who have also received TBI treatment, military leaders, including Gen. Robert Cone, the Commanding General for the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, Brig. Gen. Mark Stammer, the Senior Mission Commander for the 101st Airborne Division and Fort Campbell and Blanchfield Army Hospital Commander Col. Paul R. Cordts, as well as leaders from the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund at the groundbreaking ceremony.
