Sgt. Don L. Snyder, safety/hazardous material noncommissioned officer for Maintenance Company, 1st Supply Battalion (-) (Reinforced), 1st Marine Logistics Group, raises his right hand while taking the oath of reenlistment here June 17. Spc. David "Chris" Scantlin, his stepbrother and an Apache helicopter crew chief with Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, flew in from Camp Speicher in northern Iraq, to watch Snyder reenlist. The two hadn't seen each other for more than four years before their reunion in al-Anbar province. Both Snyder and Scantlin are from Templeton, Calif., and are scheduled to return to the states in the fall.
