U.S. Merchant Marine Capt. William Baldwin, center, ship’s master of the USNS Matthew Perry, explains what supplies are contained in the Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief Kit to Royal Brunei Navy commander First Adm. Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Halim bin Haji Mohd Hanifah during his visit to the ship, June 18. The ship is in Brunei waters to support the Association of Southeast Asian Nations HA/DR and Military Medicine Exercise hosted by Brunei from June 17 to 20. More than 2,500 multinational personnel from 18 countries are participating in the exercise, which allows partner nations an opportunity to collaborate with one another to achieve mutual security goals, address shared concerns, and continue to develop and enhance relationships.
