The USNS Matthew Perry, anchored off the coast of Muara, Brunei Darussalam, is one of several multinational ships supporting the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief and Military Medicine Exercise hosted by Brunei from June 17 to 20. More than 2,500 multinational personnel from 18 countries are participating in the exercise, which allows partner nations an opportunity to collaborate with one another to achieve mutual security goals, address shared concerns, and continue to develop and enhance relationships. The ship is attached to Commander, Task Force 73, U.S. Seventh Fleet.
