Corporal Steven J. Shields, an electronic countermeasures final duty inspector with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward), works on an ALQ-144 transmitter in the squadron's avionics work center. Shields, and the rest of the Marines in his shop, are responsible for troubleshooting and repairing many of the defense mechanisms on the aircraft at the Camp Taqaddum flight line.
