Lt. Col. Nameer Esam, a special forces officer who serves with the Iraqi ground forces command, stands in front of more than 1,400 consolidated rifles at the Al Rasheed Airbase. The weapons were collected from various caches seized by the soldiers from the 9th Iraqi Army Division in the Sadr City district of Baghdad since May 20.
