2nd Lt. Wesam Mohamad, a native of Baghdad, Iraq, currently assaigned to the Engineering Battalion of the 6th Iraqi Army Division, locks into place the mounting pole of a solar panel as one of his fellow soldiers looks on. The solar panel will power the second of 100 solar powered street lights which will be placed in the Muthana, Douhra, Abu Graheb and Ghazaliya sections of Baghdad as well asa in the City of Taji. The lights, an initative of the U.S. Army's 4th Infantry Division, will, take some of the strain off Baghdad's electrical system, aid the Iraqi security forces by lighting some of their Tactical Check Points and take the cover of darkness away from criminal elements.
