The CST, which is tasked with responding to chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats, coordinated with local agencies during a chemical emergency exercise at the Tulsa Port of Catoosa, an inland port along the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System.
Information obtained during the port exercise led the joint law enforcement team to a compound containing a simulated terrorist camp.At the compound, the CST worked with local authorities to identify and isolate threats including improvised explosive devices, chemical processing areas, drug labs and bomb making facilities.
Participating agencies included Rogers County Emergency Response, Tulsa Police Department, Tulsa Fire Department, Verdigris Fire Department, Tulsa Bomb Squad, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 63rd CST, Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management and the Oklahoma State University University Multispectral Laboratories.
