U.S. Coast Guard vessels participate in a globe-spanning experiment designed to detect and eliminate a simulated radiological device aboard a hostile vessel in the San Francisco Bay, June 11. The experiment brought together the U.S. and allied nations in an ambitious effort to connect maritime law enforcement, special operations and chemical, biological, radioactive and nuclear experts in both the U.S. and Europe.
