The Commissary at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling will close one day a week, beginning July 8. The closures will be on Mondays and will last up to 11 days between July 8 and Sept. 30, Defense Commissary Agency officials stated. The closures come as DECA follows Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines related to automatic federal government budget reductions known as sequestration, which began March 1. Like most DOD activities, DECA is mandated to furlough its civil service employees. (U.S. Navy photo by Lt. Cmdr. Jim Remington/Released)
