Cpl. Andrew S. Gendron, Corporal Richard W. Mclain Jr., and Lance Cpl. Freddy L. Gardner from 2nd Battalion, 8th Marines, brace as a round fires from a M224 60mm mortar system during a Tactical Air Control Party at a range outside Camp Taqaddum, Iraq, on March 29. The TACP is being conducted to maintain aircrew proficiency, train future squad leaders in the employment of air and indirect fire, and maintain proficiency among mortar man.
