Lt. Col. Daniel Collister, the acting 41st Airlift Squadron commander, (left) and Master Sgt. Matthew Self, a 41st AS loadmaster and the squadron's superintendent, sit on the cargo door of a C-130 J, July 2, 2013, in Arkansas. To help hit targets from higher altitudes, the Air Force has developed the Joint Precision Air Drop System, a system that uses a preprogrammed global positioning satellite unit to guide the four-by-four, 2,200-pound pallet to the ground. This system not only delivers critical supplies on time and on target, but also keeps our aircrews at safer altitudes. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Scott Poe)
