The aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) pulls away after completing a replenishment at sea with the Military Sealift Command dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Alan Shepard (T-AKE 3), as Shepard continues a replenishment with the guided-missile destroyer USS William P. Lawrence (DDG 110). The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations, theater security cooperation efforts and support missions for Operation Enduring Freedom.
