In order to test his mental toughness, Ohio National Guard Spc. Brian Johnson from Blacklick attempts to ruck the 13.1-mile Capital City-Half Marathon, May 4, in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The equipment that Johnson is carrying includes a ruck sack which weighs 50 pounds, body armor, which weighs 10 pounds, and is wearing his military issue boots. After three hours, he was not able to complete the race, but was able to complete just over 10 miles of it. This was Johnson’s 5th half-marathon, but the first one that he was not able to finish.
