Jolliffe, U.S. 3rd Fleet deputy commander, greets Australian civilians and members of the Royal Australian Air Force as they deplane a KC-30 July 12, 2013, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, after arriving to support Talisman Saber 2013. Talisman Saber reflects the closeness of the U.S. and Australian alliance as well as the strength of the ongoing military-military relationship. Talisman Saber is a bilateral exercise designed to train Australian and U.S. forces in planning and conducting combined task force operations in order to improve combat readiness and interoperability.
