Marines serving with 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion and the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit climb ropes at the end of the obstacle course during a combat conditioning exercise here, July 22, 2013. The rope is the culminating obstacle of the course, testing a Marine's coordination, endurance and mental toughness. The combat conditioning strengthens Marines' physical abilities while preparing them for the next belt level of the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Jacob H.
