Battlefield commanders Col. Edward Smeaton, with the Force Support Group, 17th Combat Service Support Brigade, Australian Army (left), and Col. Matthew McFarlane, with the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, U.S. Army, meet to review sector defenses and boundaries, and to further strengthen relations between the two allies during Talisman Saber 2013 at the 4-25's Assault Command Post located at the Shoalwater Bay Training Area in Queensland, Australia July 23. The 4-25 executed a forced entry airborne assault, seizing a lodgment, with a force size of 400 paratroopers. The paratroopers embarked from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska and assaulted the training ground after an 15-hour flight aboard five U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III aircrafts.
