050913- A Jordanian HMMWV unloads from an LCU from Assault Craft Unit 1 attached to the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, in support of Exercise Bright Star, Sept. 13. The exercise is designed to enhance the interoperability and cohesiveness of coaltion forces through various training scenarios to include amphibious and combined-arms operations. The six-week exercise affords US servicemembers the opportunity to build awareness and relationships with the host nation of Egypt and fellow coaltion forces.
