1st Lt. Jerry Wells uses a headlamp to eat oatmeal inside an abandoned house before leaving for an early morning patrol in support of Operation Grizzly IV July 30. Wells and Marines with 1st Platoon, Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, used the abandoned house as an overnight patrol base. Wells is the platoon commander with 1st Platoon.
