Navigator Maj. Bob Dunlop keeps a watchful eye on the course of the C-130 Spirit of
Galion on a trip from the 179th Airlift Wing's Ohio Air National base in Mansfield, Ohio to Stennis International Airport, Miss. The military transport is assigned to Joint Task Force Buckeye, Ohio's military relief response in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
Dunlop said the aircraft was flying at an altitude of 20,000 feet to conserve fuel on the trip. He added the fuel on board needed to get craft, crew and cargo from Ohio to Mississippi and back to Ohio plane because of the inability to refuel the plane on the gulf coast due to the heavy damage caused by the recent hurricane.
