An M973 Small Unit Support Vehicle three-quarters of the way across Engineer Lake at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, July 26. The SUSV was built to operate in the extreme cold of Alaska and traverse the harsh snow and muskeg marshy land of the far north. However, it was also designed with a bilge pump and the ability to float across water obstacles. (U.S. Army photo by Maj. Stefan Lockton, BTB operations officer)
