Joint expedition team returns to Greenland for WWII servicemembers recovery mission

U.S. Coast Guard Capt. Ken Harman, a flight surgeon and Joe Tuttle, a North South Polar team member, ensure the flagpole flying the National Ensign, Prisoner of War/Missing in Action and Honor and Remember flags will withstand the strong winds across a glacier near Koge Bay, Greenland, Aug. 1, 2013. The symbolic flags also serve as a wind direction and speed indicator for the helicopter pilots who transport supplies and personnel to the campsite.
