Nicholas Schmidt, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) force reconnaissance Marine and native of Jacksonville, N.C., uses an exothermic cutting torch during a close quarters tactics course at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., July 24, 2013.
