HOHENFELS, Germany - Soldiers, civilians and family members came together for the U.S. Army Garrison Hohenfels community bazaar to enjoy food, friends and a myriad of items from across Europe.
The bazaar is an annual three-day event hosted by the Hohenfels Community Spouses Club (HCSC) which brings Europe to those who can't or don't have time to get out and explore.
"The bazaar a great place to sample wares from all across Europe,” said Lt. Col. John Strange, the Hohenfels Garrison commander. "From Polish pottery to Persian rugs, the bazaar offers something for everyone.”
There are more than 31 vendors, hand-made furniture, antiques, gourmet cheeses, artesian Christmas ornaments, and much more, he said.
"I want to extend a sincere thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the volunteers, and express my gratitude to those in advance for giving their time this weekend, said Heather Rowley, who heads the HCSC.
Hosting the bazaar wouldn’t be possible without the volunteers, said Rowley.
"This bazaar is amazing, there's so much to look at and choose from, said Vikki Chelette, an Army spouse. “I really love the vendor that has the paintings, they're gorgeous."
