MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Rear Adm. Annie B. Andrews, commander, Navy Recruiting Command (NRC), announced Aviation Electronic Technician 1st Class (Aviation Warfare) Gemmy Tyson as Navy Recruiting Sailor of the Year.
Tyson is assigned to NRC as a division leading petty officer for Cyberspace Recruiting. He was selected from a group of finalists representing professional sailors from across the nation.
The announcement was made Dec. 12, 2013, after the final selection board was completed.
Finalists included:
Yeoman 1st Class Kayla Solonichne, Navy Recruiting District Pittsburgh
Logistics Specialist 1st Class (Surface Warfare) Maurice Britt, Navy Recruiting Orientation Unit
Personnel Specialist 1st Class Narce Segovia, Navy Recruiting District San Antonio
