JACKSONVILLE, N.C. - Sailors with the Ground Combat Element Integrated Task Force received a visit from Master Chief Petty Officer Frank Johnson, the command master chief of II Marine Expeditionary Force, and Master Chief Petty Officer Russell W. Foley, the command master chief of 2nd Marine Division, at the GCEITF battalion aid station Sept. 11, 2014.
Johnson and Foley spoke to the sailors about their thoughts about the unit, and addressed questions the sailors had about various topics.
At the conclusion of the discussion, Johnson and Foley left the sailors with newfound knowledge and insight on their roles within the unit, as well as a note that they will be back to check progress once the first month of training in October is complete.
From October 2014 to July 2015, the Ground Combat Element Integrated Task Force will conduct individual and collective level skills training in designated ground combat arms occupational specialties in order to facilitate the standards based assessment of the physical performance of Marines in a simulated operating environment performing specific ground combat arms tasks.
