    WEST POINT, N.Y. - Vermont National Guardsman and Lynn, Mass., native graduates from the Interservice Physician Assistant Program; and is commissioned in U.S. Army during a ceremony at West Point, N.Y.

    Officer Candidate Ross W. Thibodeau graduated from the Interservice Physician Assistant Program, which is affilaited with the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine, during a June 12, 2015 ceremony at the West Point Club, West Point, N.Y.

    The program consists of two phases: (1) 16 months at the Army Medicine Center and School in Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas, completing didactic instruction resulting in a Bachelor of Science degree; and (2) a 13-month clinical internship at an Army Medical Hospital - Thibodeau's intership was completed at Keller Army Community Hospital in West Point, N.Y.

    By completing both phases, Thibodeau earned a Masters' degree in Physician Assistant Studies.

    Upon graduation, Thibodeau was commissioned as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and received the U.S. Army Medicine Regimental Insignia pin.
