147th Attack Wing (Texas Air National Guard)

CAMP MABRY, Texas. (Feb. 10, 2018) Chief Master Sgt. Michael E. Cornitius Jr. began his new role as Command Chief Master Sergeant of the Texas Air National Guard during a Change of Responsibility ceremony Feb. 10, 2018, at Camp Mabry, Texas.
For the past three years, Cornitius served as Command Chief Master Sergeant of the 147th Attack Wing at Ellington Field, Texas. His role now expands as the senior enlisted advisor to the commander of the Texas Air National Guard.
"This is a great opportunity to represent all Airmen of the Texas Air National Guard by providing them with the resources they need," said Cornitius. "I look forward to assisting our leadership in making sure we're developing our Airmen and giving them what they need to complete their mission."
Chief Cornitius is the 2nd consecutive Command Chief Master Sergeant to come from the 147th
    Attack Wing.
Chief Master Sgt. Marlon K. Nation, the previous Command Chief Master Sergeant for the Texas Air National Guard, welcomed Cornitius' new perspectives.
"Chief Cornitius is going to bring fresh ideas, and he's going to keep this perpetual organization moving forward," said Nation. "I expect him to do greater things than the generations before him because he is very well-equipped. His creativity and, more importantly, his drive and care for Airman, is what's most important. I look forward to seeing what he brings to the fight."
