HULMAN FIELD AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Ind. – U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Ryan K. Harvey assumes command of the 113th Air Support Operations Squadron (ASOS), March 3.
"I'm humbled and honored to have the opportunity to lead the ASOS Battlefield Airmen,” said Harvey. “ The Squadron is lucky to have amazing senior noncommissioned officer leaders that will make my job enjoyable and allow me to focus efforts on advancing the unit towards the 21st Century Readiness required in today's complex environment."
Harvey’s intention for the 113th ASOS is to advance the Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) major weapons system through training and equipping the Battlefield Airmen in order to maintain mission readiness.
“We will foster innovative recruiting initiatives and enable a smooth transition as the ASOS joins the Regional Support Group," said Harvey.
Although the command of the 113th ASOS is changing, the expectations of the squadron are remaining the same.
“I’m excited to showcase the skillset of the TACP Airmen and do everything in my power to develop citizen Airmen that effect positive change,” said Harvey.
The upcoming plans for the 113th ASOS and the changes to come are the future steps that will make the 181st Intelligence Wing more prepared to serve our community, state and nation.
