HULMAN FIELD AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Ind. - Being mission ready and strengthening relationships with partnering countries are two of the most crucial elements in the Indiana Air National Guard. For a few Airmen within the 181st Intelligence Wing (IW), 181st Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Group they did just that while being instructors for Slovakia service members during a training course in Bratislava, Slovakia Sept. 3-7, 2018.
The course covered Distributed Ground Station fundamentals, ISR collections management, still and video imagery exploitation and practical exercises, along with many other intelligence gathering techniques.
“This course provided education in the ISR planning and collections process, and incorporated that into potential natural disaster recovery efforts,” said U.S. Air Force Capt. Clint Robinson, Indiana Air National Guard, 181st IW, 137th Intelligence Squadron.
Training and educating members of the Slovakia military is a main part of the State Partnership Program with the Indiana National Guard.
“The team of instructors from the 181st IW continued to foster the good relationship between Slovakia, the State of Indiana, and the United States” said Capt. Robinson.
