Maj. Gen. Timothy Haugh, Twenty-Fifth Air Force commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Summer Leifer, Twenty-Fifth Air Force command chief, visited the 70th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing here, Sept. 9, 2019.
Haugh assumed command of the Numbered Air Force, Aug. 29, and is no stranger to Fort Meade or the ISR mission, having previously served as the Cyber National Mission Force commander here.
During the visit, Haugh and Leifer took time to meet with junior enlisted Airmen currently living in the SGT Clarence L. McNeill Hall dormitory on post. Cryptologic Airmen briefed Haugh on wing quality of life, successes and shortcomings, providing the commander with a tour of new work facilities; a wing initiative to improve quality of life for America’s cryptologic Airmen.
The commander and command chief also took time to immerse themselves in what the 70th ISRW brings to the fight, receiving briefs from various ISR units including the 94th Intelligence Squadron, which operates the Consolidated Remote Operations Facility, Airborne, providing near real-time intelligence support to ongoing reconnaissance missions around the world.
