This year Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point (NHCCP) celebrated the 123rd Navy Hospital Corps Anniversary with a cake cutting and addressing the corpsmen of the clinic, at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point North Carolina, June 17, 2021. The U.S. Navy Hospital Corps remains the largest and most auspicious rate, or military occupation specialty, in the Navy, with more than 30,000 active duty and reserve Corpsmen serving within MCAS Cherry Point’s based units across the Navy.
“As I’ve grown in my career, and I’ve been stationed so many different places around the world, no matter where I go I can always count on the strength, versatility, motivation and enthusiasm as well as the intelligence of Navy Corpsmen.” said Capt. Elizabeth Adriano, NHCCP commanding officer.
Marines take great pride in serving alongside the corpsmen who are always there at the sound of “Corpsman Up.” In a message to the Corpsmen, Sgt. Maj. Troy E. Black, Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps said, “We are grateful for your dedication and sacrifices and we join you in celebrating the impressive legacy of Navy Hospital Corpsmen past and present.”
