RENO, Nev. — Members of the 152nd Airlift Wing, Nevada Air National Guard, are set to deploy overseas following the Thanksgiving holiday to U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR) for about four months, providing theater airlift and aircraft maintenance in the region.
The 152nd Airlift Wing, known as the “High Rollers,” operate C-130 Hercules aircraft for aerial delivery support, capable of transporting payloads of up to 42,000 pounds. This can include transport of resources ranging from personnel, equipment, vehicles or any other palletized cargo.
This is the unit’s first Air Expeditionary Force deployment since 2018.
Specific departure times and exact numbers of personnel and aircraft are withheld for operational security reasons.
