JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-FORT SAM HOUSTON - (May 31, 2022) Navy Talent Acquisition Group (NTAG) San Antonio is a Command that believes in giving credit when and where it is due. NTAG San Antonio is a mix of amazing people whose mission is to provide the United States Navy with qualified candidates. The mission can be challenging at times, but NTAG San Antonio members push through to achieve the goals. NTAG San Antonio Commanding Officer, CDR. Stephanie Simoni, Executive Officer, CDR Stacey O’Neal, Command Master Chief, CMDCM Samuel Bernal, and the Chief Recruiter, NCCM Matthew Maduemesi joined in recognizing the NTAG San Antonio FY 2021 Civilian of the Year, Ms. Petra Galeana who serves as Processor on the MEPS side of the Command.
Galeana, whose hometown is Kaiserslautern, Germany, served as Combat Medic in the United States Army for ten years before joining NTAG San Antonio in June 2019. In addition to graduating from Hauptschule Schillerschule, a secondary school in her hometown, Galeana earned an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in International Business from Remington College and is currently attending Southern New Hampshire University pursuing a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Management.
Galeana beamed as she addressed those in attendance. “Thank you for this award. It’s not just for me, it is for all of us,” said Galeana.
NTAG San Antonio’s area of responsibility includes more than 30 Navy Recruiting Stations and Navy Officer Recruiting Stations spread throughout 144,000 square miles of Central and South Texas territory.
