SAN ANTONIO, Texas – (Oct. 31, 2022) The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce kicked off its annual Celebrate America’s Military (CAM) events with the 52nd Opening Ceremony held at the city’s famed Alamo Plaza. Navy Talent Acquisition Group (NTAG) San Antonio, represented by Assistant Chief Recruiter, Naval Counselor Senior Chief Daniel Street, along with representation for each branch of the United States Military, attended the event.

According to its website, CAM Opening Ceremony’s mission was to honor active, guard, and reserve military service members, families, and veterans, and to recognize the many organizations that support them year-round. This year’s theme, “Honoring the Past, the Present, and the Future of our Armed Forces,” perfectly describes the Chamber’s affection for America’s Military.

Speakers for the ceremony included The Honorable Ron Nirenberg, San Antonio Mayor, the Honorable Nelson Wolff, former Mayor and County Judge, Kate Rodgers, Executive Director of Alamo Trust, Inc., Brig. Gen Russell D. Driggers, Commander of 502nd Air Base Wing, and Lt. Gen. Brian Robinson, Commander of Air Education and Training Command (AETC).

The purpose for CAM’s three-week string of events celebrating our Military is shared on its website and reads, “The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce is proud to host the 52nd Anniversary of Celebrate America's Military in 2022 as a series of events honoring the men and women who serve in our Nation's Military - Active, Guard, and Reserve from all branches.”
