SAN ANTONIO, Texas – (Nov. 1, 2022) The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Celebrate America’s Military (CAM) Prayer Breakfast at Second Baptist Church, a staple of the city’s east side. Navy Talent Acquisition Group (NTAG) San Antonio, represented by Executive Officer, Commander Stacey O’Neal, along with Chaplains and representatives for each branch of the United States Military, attended the breakfast.

The Prayer Breakfast was for all faiths and denominations and according to the Chambers, the annual Prayer Breakfast aims to inspire and motivate service members while highlighting the value of resilience, determination, and comradery.

The program started with opening remarks delivered by Chamber President and CEO, Richard Perez, the invocation by Minister Rikkita Huges, Active-Duty Faith Community Remarks by Army Chaplain LTC Bernard Cornell and Air Force Chaplain CAPT William Erps, and the video, “The Story of the Four Chaplains.”

The keynote Speaker for the Prayer Breakfast was retired Air Force Chaplain COL Rev. Dr. Robert L. Jemerson. Jemerson, the Lead Pastor at Second Baptist and a native of Dallas, Texas, delivered powerful words of inspiration and resiliency.

According to his bio, Pastor Jemerson has experience as a counselor and has served the Progressive National Baptist Convention as Vice President At Large of the Southwest Region and continues to hold the office of endorser for all the convention's Chaplaincy Services.
