MILLINGTON, Tenn.- Commander of Navy Recruiting Command (NRC) announced winners of the Master Chief Petty Officer (MCPO) Bakarian Award.
The Navy Recruiting Orientation Unit (NORU) presents the Bakarian Award to recent graduates who have demonstrated exceptional performance in officer and enlisting recruiting, out performing their peers. The award specifically honors new recruiters, both enlisted and officers, with less than 12 months of service, based on their exceptional achievement in securing net new contacts during the award period.
“The Master Chief Bakarian and Officer Recruiter Distinguished Graduate Awards are intended to identify Recruiters for their outstanding performance in recruiting,” said Master Chief Navy Counselor Gerald Allchin, National Chief Recruiter for NRC.
The MCPO Bakarain Award honors the distinguished legacy of Navy Counselor Master Chief Anthony George Bakarain, a revered leader whose profound impact on Navy recruiting endures within Navy NORU.
The list of deserving award winners includes recruiters from the Navy Talent Acquisition Groups (NTAG) and the Navy Recruiting Stations (NRS), each recognized for their outstanding contributions to the Navy’s recruitment efforts:
