U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officers assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Lemoore celebrated their rich naval heritage with staff members at Naval Health Clinic Lemoore on April 1. Active duty service members and government civilians gathered together to commemorate the 132nd anniversary of the Navy Chief rate establishment and enjoy some birthday cake.
The Chief Petty Officer rank, established on April 1, 1893, is a cornerstone of naval leadership. It represents the important bridge between enlisted sailors and commissioned officers.
